"To be homeless is to be nameless." She had read the quote so many times and every time she read the words differently.

Did it mean that if she was homeless she lost a connection to her name, or that it mattered naught where her family had come from, or, did it give her licence to recreate her identity because she was without a place to call home?

Or, did it simply mean that no one cared about your home if you were homeless because you have slipped outside to what was recognisable in society?
